Simple, Honest Salon Pricing

What this version does today

  • Day agenda & conflict-safe booking: Book a client, one of their pets, a groomer, a service, and a start time. Rescheduling automatically blocks overlapping staff slots.
  • Multi-pet households: Store multiple dogs under one client with breed, coat type, weight, temperament, and vaccine notes.
  • Deterministic coat & weight pricing: Full groom, Bath & brush, and Deshed adjust price and duration by coat multiplier and weight tier. Nail trim stays flat.
  • Checkout saves once: Records service amount, tip, and method (cash, card recorded, or other). Saving twice keeps the original payment record. Cards are not charged inside the book.
  • Closeout note & inline rebook override: Stores a structured grooming note on the pet and suggests the groomer's next open slot, price, and no-show risk. Adjust date/time inline before confirming.
  • Household no-show risk: Calculated from completed and missed visits across the client's household (low, medium, or high when the last visit was missed or no-show rate reaches 25%).
  • Self-serve shop setup & JSON export: Wipe the Hearth & Hound demo data to start your own shop at /onboarding or /shop, and download a JSON backup anytime.

Deliberately not in this version

  • Card processing or deposits inside the book (use your existing terminal, cash, or Zelle).
  • Automated SMS delivery or marketing email blasts (reminders write to the in-app outbox).
  • Public pet-parent self-booking portals or multi-van GPS route optimization.
  • Hard seat locks — the plan is $19/mo for up to 5 staff, and adding a groomer is never blocked at five.
